Why do I decide to make Liga Petardo?

For several years I have taught Game Design & Development. Certain day one of my students was asking me how to add some visual polish details to his latest prototype. We juggle some ideas and I made a small concept prototype, where a place holder, a red block was leaving a trail behind it.

I was toying with the idea of control, and I iterate to give the cube a different move, where drifting was key. And just for fun add a bouncing ball, so I got a weird pong. 

That night I was browsing trough Gamasutra, and read an article about Rocket League, and the rest is story. A story I use in class to reflect the point that prototype, and iteration are keys in Game Design and that, some times the original concept isn't a clear single idea.

I have to say once and again. I would never be able to make Liga Petardo half a cool, in four times the development time, without the aid of the great Nicolás Flores.
