Wilbur: The Wonderful Witty Waif » Devlog
Wilbur is a little prototype made with the aid of Nico, and music composed by Max.
The main goal was to enjoy ourselves doing something quite different from our day by day work. I used the same restrictions I gave to my first year students, at Universidad SEK, in Santiago, Chile.
This restrictions include:
- Gameplay & Art feel based on arcade games from 1980 to 1985.
- 320x240 Resolution.
- Controls based on one Game Stick and 2 Buttons.
- 16 colors palette, each sprite coul not have more than 4 colors.
- I used Island Joy, by Kerrie Lake.
- They would do the game:
- Game Desing, writting a GDD.
- Program the Gameplay using Construct 2.
- Original Pixel Art, made by themselves.
- Original 8 bit Music & SFX, composed by themselves.
By restricting myself I was able to do a more fair review of my students work.

This is everything for now, the prototype is still quite broken, but it is playable.
